Garden of Life carefully scrutinizes all suppliers, paying particularly close attention to their ability to pass our quality standards. We demand certificates of analysis (C of A's) from all suppliers to ensure their products meet our specifications, and verify these C of A's with independent laboratory analyses. We specifically seek suppliers who can back their materials with studies and patents where available, and who are willing to work with the Garden of Life® Research and Development staff to create new techniques that further enhance product quality. And since many of our ingredients are organic, we collect and validate all organic certifications. In addition, we will perform on-site supplier audits at least once a year to ensure Garden of Life® standards are being met, and require our supply partners to participate in our MRP/Forecasting process to aid in the timely delivery of product to our customers.

Since the foundation of Garden of Life® quality is grown at the farm, farmers are among our most important suppliers. Access to world-wide farming operations enables 365 day growing to ensure access to high quality raw materials. Garden of Life® product ingredients are grown on these farms and controlled under exacting standards. Garden of Life works diligently to be certain our ingredients are produced to contain the highest nutritional values. For example, by comparing the analyses of plants grown to different stages of maturity, Garden of Life is able to determine the optimal time to harvest in order to supply the highest levels of protein, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. This has enabled us to work with our farmers and processors to develop harvest procedures that maximize the nutritional value of key ingredients including green grasses used in Garden of Life® products, such as Primal Defense®, Perfect Food® and Living Multi™
